The Sheppard's enjoy their family, watching and playing sports, and boating. Dr. Kenny Sheppard  has been President of the Del Mar Kiwanis and a board member of the Del Mar Chamber of Commerce.

Their family attends church at Horizon, Rancho Santa Fe.

Both doctors are  members of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association of California. They were licensed in 1984 by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Diplomate of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners 1983.
